Kroger Trip 11/21/10

Wish I could add the picture I took to this post, but I'm having "technical difficulties."  Anyways, there are several good deals at Kroger this week, many of them are carry-overs from last week.  Here's what I got:

--4 General Mills Cereals $2.49 = 9.96 - $4 GM Promotion - $1/2 coupon, and 2 (.75) coupons = $3.46/4   boxes
--4 Green Giant Frozen Vegetables .88 each - .50/1(doubled) - .60/3 -.60/3 ecoupon = $1.32/4 boxes
--1 Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt 2.85 (Part of GM promo takes it down to $1.85) - $1 ecoupon -$1coupon = -$.15
--6 Pillsbury Cookie dough (I'll be taking these to work for Thanksgiving) $2.49 (GM promo item = $1.49 each) - (2) $1.25/2 coupons and (1) $1/2 coupon - (2) $1/2 ecoupons = $3.44/6 rolls of cookie dough
--1 Pillsbury Cinnamon Grands Cinnamon Rolls $2.49 (GM promo = $1.49) - .50/1 coupon (doubled) = $.50
--1 Idahoan Potatoes $1 - .40 coupon (doubled) = $.20
--Kroger 100% Apple Juice $1.63 - .40 store coupon = $1.23
--Big K Soda 12 pk. $1.99 - .50 store coupon = $1.49
--Milk $2.68 and NO Coupons!
--Comforts Diapers on sale for $4.99 - $2 store coupon = $2.99
Also had a $3 off next purchase Catalina from last visit
Total 21 items for $14.33 + $2.33 tax = $16.66 AND best part is I got another $3 off cat for purchasing 6 or more Pillsbury items.  I think I'm going to keep rolling that deal.  When you do the math on that I basically got 6 rolls of cookie dough for $.44 and made .15 on the yogurt!

Cheap Chicken, Pepperoni and Black Olive Pizza!

Last night I used some pantry items to make dinner:
1 can of Tyson chicken breasts -- Paid about $1 at Publix months ago, this is a rather large can
1/2 package of Hormel Pepperoni -- Paid less than $1 for the package, so half would be around $.45
1/2 can of Black Olives -- my 2.5 y/o ate the other 1/2 of the can of olives -- $1.19 Aldi's
1 can of Muir Glen Tomato Sauce FREE at Publix a few months back
1 package of Kroger pizza crust ?  I think it was about a $1
1 package of Kraft cheese $.75 on sale and used a coupon

So for a little more than $4 we had dinner for the family and it was very good!

Making Dinner Out of my Stockpile!

So I decided to cook a pork 2.62 pound pork tenderloin I had in the freezer.  It's been in the freezer since last year when I bought it for $5.95.  To go with it I'm cooking white potatoes (paid about $1.50), organic carrots ($1 on sale), frozen corn-on-the-cob (Bird's Eye steamers -- used a coupon and got them for about $.20 a bag) and a 4-pack of King's Hawaiian rolls (FREE using peelie from Tyson entree).  The total cost for the meal will be about $8.65 for a whole-lot-a food -- I'm sure we'll be eating leftovers for a while!

I got an AWESOME deal on baby wipes this morning!

I was in Wal-mart early this morning and they had just rolled out a clearance cart with cases of Pampers baby wipes regularly $12 for an case with 8 packs of sensitive baby wipes.  They were marked down to $8, which is $1 per package.  I only had one $.50 off pampers coupon but I went ahead and grabbed two cases, which came to $15.50 + tax for 16 packs of baby wipes.  Luckily, I had a Wal-mart gift card so my out of pocket was $00.00!  Too bad I didn't have more Pampers coupons.

Cascadian Farm Coupons -- Great Deals!

Here are some great scenarios for the $1/1 coupons available here. These are manufacturer coupons, so you can combine them with store coupons and sales.
There are also printable coupons on the Target website, which you can use at Target or stores that accept competitor coupons. Hurry if you're going to use these coupons, though, they expire 1/30!
Using the $1/2 Cascadian Farms granola bar coupons from the Target website and the $1/1 (use two coupons) you can save $3 on two boxes of Cascadian Farms granola bars. Luckily, Publix also accepts competitor coupons so I can check both stores to see which one has the best deal. Maybe these will go on sale BOGO soon, wouldn't that be great!
Another option, is to use the Publix $2/3 Cascadian Farms frozen vegetable coupon from the Yellow Advantage Flier in combination with 2 of the $1/1 coupon and you'll save $4/3 frozen vegetables. Even better deal if you can get another $1/1 coupon and save $5/3. Most of the Cascadian farms frozen vegetables are priced between $2.50 - $3 at Publix. So they won't be Free, but if you buy a lot of organic foods, this is a great deal.

Big Lots 20% off Coupon

Visit Big Lots website and sign up for their BUZZ CLub to get a coupon for 20% off at Big Lots. It's good until 1/31!

Visit Sunday Coupon Preview to get a list of the coupons coming in the paper 1/24/10.
There are several $1+ coupons, as well as, the $.50 off coupons which work great for me since Publix and Kroger both double up to $.50.
